November 30, 2022 - I likely waited too long on this one. Absolutely loved it at the winery back in 09. Opened an hour before Thanksgiving dinner to see where it was and by the time dinner was served, it had faded substantially.

April 9, 2015 - This is a nice wine, definitely an Oregon Pinot Noir, but there's no way I'd spend more than $50 on this wine...it's not THAT complex, though it is tasty.

January 25, 2015 - This was extraordinary for an '07 Oregon wine. Much darker than most '07s. Rich, full bodied, loads of fruit, and well balanced.

September 27, 2014 - Opened for our 24th wedding anniversary, this was a bottle we'd been saving. Having recently tasted the 2012, we knew we'd have to give this one a go soon. Decented for several hours and served with beef tenderloins with shiitake mushrooms in a balsamic glaze. Wonderful pairing. This is a soft, lush, earthy pinot. My only minor quibble would be a lack of depth or complexity, but I think that it is just we prefer a little more character. But this is elegant and lovely. Well worth the wait.

  • Bellissimo Likes this wine:

March 21, 2014 - Brought to a restaurant, opened 1 hour ahead of time. Over three courses and around 2 hours this continued to open and evolve with the last glass being the most expressive. In short, give it some time. Lots of red fruit and spice you'd typically find in an Oregon pinot. I find Penner makes some bigger wines with noticable amounts of oak but given the vintage and age I didn't notice any heavy-handedness with this bottle. Not inexpensive that's for sure, but was a treat for my spouse and I to have a night out on our own and this complimented a variety of dishes.
