January 22, 2022 - Nose of black berry, saddle leather, allspice, and earth, same on the palate, tasty, slightly past peak drinking, but showing very well considering Pomerol Bordeaux purchase price of $50, medium/big body, mouth filling fruit, lovely with roasted turkey sandwiches, almost elegant, enjoyed over 2 nights, better the first night than the second night, medium/long finish, photo uploaded.

December 7, 2021 - Brought this to Wah Lok (Carlton Hotel) for a wine dinner with my wine mates. Theme of the evening: Wines from before 2000.

Purple in colour with a brown hue. Beautiful bouquet on the nose which brings a smile to the drinkers. Fragrant, balanced and beautiful.

Some fine sediments in the bottle so do take care when pouring.

    March 13, 2021 - Tasted blind , 1,5h decanted .
Colour seems really dark red with some orange hints .
Nose at the beginning a little defensive , some earthy and ethereous tones with eucaliptic , menthol and mint , dark cherries , a little bit of paprica and meat .
Taste is really smooth and warm , with a lot of sweetness ( year 1989 ) , some cherries and a lot of chocolate especially in the aftertaste . Tannics and acid , seems for my opinon , a little to low , to balance the sweetness of it .
Nice wine , perhaps a bit simple and easy , but with life for next couples of years . Drink now or untill the next 5-10 years .
    88 points / 16,75 points .

    April 20, 2018 - Still OK.

February 12, 2016 - Probably just past peak, as the flavors were a bit subdued. Still very much alive and smooth, appealing style. Paired well with our lamb surf and turf idea.
