November 8, 2023 - Delicious and perfectly mature Syrah. This is why you age wine, of course! Drank off the list at Cafe Carmellini and it totally delivered.

October 8, 2023 - Mostly 1998s (Washington, DC): Lots of sediment. Flavors of mulled black cherries and currants, with pickling spices, sun-dried tomatoes, black pepper, tar, dried violets. The palate has softened but still dusty tannins with tangy acidity. Fruit is mulled and a bit muddied, but still going (currant, fig paste). All sorts of roasted red pepper, green olives, black pepper, chewing tobacco, some graphite and tar. I guessed this as a Cote Rotie – not too far off.

April 25, 2019 - I bow down to a wine this good and true after 30 years and made only in Graillot’s third vintage I think. Just perfectly true Syrah that outshines its appellation.

September 19, 2011 - - Garnet color with medium forming legs and aromas of coffee, dusty and green olive. It's balanced with a light/medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Getting old but still very nice. Smooth. Green olives on the aroma.
