November 10, 2019 - Slow to open, delicate nose, great color, balance and smooth finish.

    Light cherry and berry flavors.
    Drink now..

May 19, 2019 - After a few hours open this is really hitting its stride. Some nice tart cherry notes, with earth and leather. This is drinking really nicely. Not amazing, and as others have noted I am not sure it will improve, but it is not dead by any means either. The nose has that lovely mushroom that I associate with older wines, with notes of forest floor and tart cherry. There is some slight bitterness and heat on the finish, though not in a way that takes away from the lovely journey that precedes it.

Interesting side note. I think if I tasted this blind I would rate it lower. Given that I know what it is, including how old it is, I feel more generous in the score.

    March 31, 2019 - Still alive
    Terrible cork quality, with seepage.
    High shoulder fill.

Smoke, with still some primary secondary flavours of cherry. Medium plushness.
Drink up, can hold longer but no upside expected.

July 8, 2013 - BLACK CHERRIES, CHOCOLATE, AND LICORICE IN THE NOSE WITH BLACK CHERRIES, BLACKBERRIES, AND CURRANTS IN THE FLAVOR. NICE COMPLEXITY AND A MEDIUM TO LONG FINISH.

March 10, 2012 - On the nose, I found sweet ripe cherries in damp earth, undergrowth, tomato leaf, and moist fall leaves. On the palate, it was juicy with dark red fruits and tealeaves; an acidic and bitter note came forward toward the close, but didn’t interfere. The finish was medium-long with sour red fruits and buzzing acidity.
