April 1, 2023 - Opened it with a 1981 Burgess. The cork crumbled so had to push part of it into the bottle. An old cab that has held up well, but definitely it’s time to drink it. It was not as good as the 1981, but it got better over time. Had the last of it 2 days later and it was very pleasant. Now I am curious about the 1984 vintage I still have in my locker. It is probably time to open it.

May 3, 2011 - Classic old Cab with cherry, cedar, emerging greeness with air. This seemed pretty tired and dried out but really blossomed with air with the fruit becoming fresher, sweeter, broader and weightier on the palate, and the acidity coming into balance. Nice!

September 4, 1990 - With new associates at lunch at Circolo. Good ruby color. Nice. Good nose, with berries. Fairly complex. Same character on the palate. Nice wine, but not a standout. 5-11-15-7: 88/100.
