September 16, 2016 - It's been almost four years since I last tried this. Still very viable and not showing any noticeable signs of bricking. PnP. Dark ruby, medium body. Slightly rough on the entry but it eventually smooths. Aromas and flavors of ripe plum, spicy red currant, smokey cherry, green mint, and charred black earth with both rounded tannins and some acuity in the background. The finish, definitely shows some lingering pluminess. Most likely has peaked and will start to fade over the next couple of years,

February 22, 2016 - Pop and pour....very nice. I feel like it's lost a step though. Thins out on the finish, but decent flavor. Dark red fruit, a bit of vegetation (bramble?). Drink now!

July 14, 2015 - Wine group cab tasting, 7/2015, w 5 cabs total. Unremarkable on its own. None complemented short ribs in apricot sauce. Next cab tasting stay away from any fruit in meal.

Washington Wine Report

  • By Sean Sullivan

(Dunham Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon XII Columbia Valley) An appealing aroma profile with high-toned cherry fruit, spice, and earth. The palate is tart with red fruit and has a good, tannic grip. Drinking well now but has the structure to lay down in the cellar. Lewis Estate and Double River Estate vineyards. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in French and American oak. 14.3% alcohol. 1,788 cases produced.
