March 30, 2024 - Maybe not at the peak but still darn close and holding. Ten+ years and the penultimate bottle. It is a strong and lovely as the first with more maturity without a hint of bricky. Luscious.

April 9, 2022 - Decanted for 90 minutes before pairing with grilled and oven-roasted sirloin roast. A nearly opaque ruby in the glass with slightly thinning edges. Very aromatic, the nose features cherry compote, forest floor, RC Cola, and spice. Excellent intensity and concentration, with excellent acidity, though very light on the palate (i.e., well balanced), with a citric-tinged finish (akin to RC Cola) that elevates the finish on the palate. It is so evident that you get what you pay for with this particular bottling. 1st of 7.

March 24, 2020 - This was absolutely beautiful tonight. Medium weight wine consumed against an alban syrah. This quickly opened up and what I appreciated the most is that this feels like a naturally made non-extracted wine, not a typical over extracted fruit bomb. Flavor and texture wise-the big thing is this immense nutmeg fruit cake flavor profile. This was really great
