June 4, 2014 - Pours a deep purple / burgundy appearance with long lasting legs. A bunch of tannins in the nose. Lots of leather, fig, earth, and some meat. Full bodied wine. Definitely lots of leather in the flavor. Black currants. Some chocolate. A hint of smoke. Lots going on but I wonder if it hasn't peaked.

October 9, 2013 - upon opening, the nose was dominated by a blend between barnyard funk and red fruit. The color was an opaque deep red. The palate had eathery notes and less fruitiness than the nose indicated but there was still some acidity on the end. After a few hours, the leather was less prevalent and the flavor was more balanced. Maybe past its prime, but I liked it nonetheless.

September 9, 2011 - Very nice nose, with a heavy dose of barnyard funk, just a hint of charred meat, herbs & red fruit underneath. The palate lacks the complexity of the nose, but is solid for the price with notes of black currant, blackberry and herbs. Medium-bodied and light tannins on the moderate-length finish.

July 22, 2011 - Still very good, but it took an hour or two of breathing before it got there, which is longer than it took before. Not as good on night two as it was 2 hours after opening.
