July 2, 2021 - Purchased upon release and cellared in pristine fashion, this medium golden, aged white Burgundy is even better than when last tasted 1/14/2018. Intensely aromatic, it serves up a bouquet of orange zest, white peaches, wet stones, jasmine, chamomile and cardamom. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic and with well-integrated alcohol (13.5%), it delivers flavors mirroring the nose, accented with soft notes of oak. Dense on the mid-palate and closing with a lengthy, energetic finish, this has become a classic beauty that it aging gracefully. Still showing not even the slightest hint of oxidation, it will last significantly longer than previously estimated. Drink now-2025.

May 2, 2020 - Found another one of these in the cellar and it is (again) outstanding. This Domaine tore the heart out of my chest a few times when I opened their GCs from the mid 90s and they were premox’d. This is the exact opposite, very palish fresh color, nose and palate. Hasn’t changed a bit since my last note a couple years back excepting the “butterscotch” notes of last bottle. Not present here.

    April 6, 2019 - Dinner Chez Skoog

A wonderful floral bouquet - really like sticking your nose into a vase of assorted fragrant flowers, incluting hint of tulip stems. Also lemon, hints of litchie and green apples. Very intense but at the same time ultra-elegant. On the palate more linear - elegant but perhaps lacking just a wee bit concentration. Marine, mineral citrus mix. Good lenght but not unending. Very, very nice! On par with the best 1er and could probably stand up to many a G-C.

August 4, 2018 - Down to my last of these: full straw color; hints of butterscotch and creme brulee, good tension on palate, stone fruit and classic French chard character; acid seems to come out more as it airs; nice lanolin quality on finish. 92-93 Slipped this into a blind tasting of non-CC gran cru WBs and it held its own.

July 17, 2018 - Wine dinner (The Morris, SF): Light yellow-green; highly aromatic, some butter, white fruit, slight flint and smoke; palate is youthful, rounded but still fresh, nice mouthfeel; finish is medium-long. This is excellent. 93-94
