September 5, 2020 - Garnet color. Dark cherry cola nose. Full body. Flavors of cassis, dark cherry, damson, cola, clove, and tobacco. The tannins are still fairly pronounced. The wine is in its drinking, but has at least another 10 years ahead of it. Decant for sediment.

June 21, 2020 - Wow, what perfect wine. Drinking great now. I think it's about a third Cabernet Sauvignon, a third garnacha, and the rest is Syrah, carinena and merlot.
Has a lot of great fruit that is shining right now. And very good intensity and length and acidity and balance. Went head to head with the grilled chuleton so guessing this is not shy. Could last for a long time if cellared well. -

June 20, 2019 - Needed some air time - was way more approachable after two hours in the decanter. Nose of blackberry compote, brush and old leather. The mouth is where the fun happens - very masculine wine with strong flavors of stringy sweet tobacco and leather. The fruit that is there is stewed black raspberry (or something like that). The finish explodes, bright and vivid and long, long, long. If I had this wine to do over and had a few more bottles of it I would like to revisit it at about 25 or 30 years old. Different and unique and altogether fun to drink - after it opened up. Before the decant it was severe and forbidding.
