April 16, 1998 - BLACKBERRIES, LICORICE, AND A LITTLE WOOD IN THE NOSE. BLACK CHERRY FLAVORS WITH A TOUCH OF LICORICE. MEDIUM LENGTH FINISH. IN DECLINE FROM EARLIER TSTGS WHICH WERE AS HIGH AS 91 (1991).

January 18, 1990 - With MPL and BLR at the office. Very deep, dark ruby-purple. On the nose, it is very hard, austere, green. Extremely oaky and tannic on the palate. No way this will last; the fruit will be gone long before the tannins abate. Vegetal to boot. 5-7-4-2: 68/100.
