October 22, 2022 - Beatifull Rhone red, 15 years of age and at peak. We had 1 or 2 bottles flawed earlier, but this one is drinking very nicely.

March 6, 2019 - Decanted for 2 hours and paired with s “pot a feu”. Showed great. Dark in the glass and limited nose. Red fruit a bit sharp and in the fore, but developing good complexity. Very smooth finish. Overall this showed still young and can further improve in the coming years.

December 2, 2018 - Tried it for a 3rd time over the last couple of days. 2nd day it came around, and was actually quite good. Will finish it tonight (3rd day), let's see. Obviously still needs a couple of years.

April 10, 2018 - didn't care for this at all. Thought first bottle corked or some how way off, so opened a second. Very disappointed. Quite sour. Not at all what I expected.

2004 and 2007 Cote Rotie Tasting, Episode #925, 10/4/2010 (link) 92 points(Villard Gallets Blanc Cote Rotie) #2; COLOR-dark; NOSE-this is spicy; extreme minerality meets black pepper in a good way; like crushed rock salad with fresh cracked pepper; beautiful black fruit; some chalkiness; a little gamey venison on the tail end; PALATE-good structure; nice mouthfeel; dark black flavors; blackberry and black cherry; black pepper; really aggressive bitter tannins (but not too bitter); I really like the transition from the mid-palate to the finish; inky too; good wine; really well made; good structure and balance; this is a big boy and a textbook Cote Rotie; needs 5-10 years of cellaring; ID-93; GV-92
