  December 4, 2011 - Surprising wine. Tight at first, but with a fragrant nose including black cherry and floral notes. Flavors of cherry,spice and cocoa nibs. Good backbone, and a nice finish. Decanted for about 30 minutes, which made all the difference.

  September 9, 2011 - Dark purple color. Nutmeg, plum sauce and chocolate on the nose. Creamy, fruity. It has smoothed out with time and developed some dried cherry and leaves flavors. A slight radish flavor, followed by chocolate covered cherries. Coffee grounds on the finish but it ends silky.

  July 15, 2010 - Cherries on the front end and a nice finish. I didn't decant, just poured. This is one of my favorites for just drinking without paring with food.

  May 30, 2010 - almost pitch colored. the nose is like black and purple magic marker. over time, some clove and cinnamon came out, along with plum skins and blueberry sauce. dense on the palate with tons of fruit, but what i love is the tannic structure of this wine. mocha-laden finish.
