  December 28, 2022 - I was quite supprised with this wine. A large amount of sediment caked on the inside of the bottle, so I wasn't sure what to excpect. Decanted just under an hour in the glass. A little dry at first. Light friut on the nose, nothing overpowering. I sensed a touch of black liquorice and plum on the finish. Wine opened up over 2.5 hours and 2 glasses. For a wine the that was somewhat neutrul all around, I enjoyed it. I'm interested in what happens with it on day 2. It is probably well passed it's prime, but still very enjoyable. I will not wait very long to dring the 2nd bottle. I'm thinking a 3+ decant would help the first impressions.

Matted purple color with a touch of change at the rim. Nose is highly expressive, with some vine characteristics mingling with red fruits, pie crust, and leather. The palate follows suit. Extremely smooth. Multilayered.
