August 22, 2012 - My 1st Irancy from Dauvissat. Nose is a little surprising with a touch of shoe polish/wood wax with some cassis and blackberry notes. Green note, like a green plant. There's also cool clay and chalk mix touch on the nose and palate. Surprisingly from time to time, it seems like there is a touch of heat as well while the wine is only 13%. Still, this is showing pinot character but with a rustic side (on the palate at least, a little less pinot-like on the nose I thought).
Overall interesting wine, still debating if I like it or not. This was actually a much better wine, more refined and precise, at a cool temperature (around 14C) so I'll keep that in mind next time.
