October 30, 2020 - amazingly youthful and delicious

April 21, 2019 - Popped and poured. Drank beautifully from the first to the last (which was ~2 hours after opening). Bright cherry nose carried on to a mouth-coating dose of the same with silky tannins and a long finish. This wine is drinking very well right now and its hard to imagine it improving with time [though there is no rush]. Benchmark Amarone in its prime!

November 10, 2017 - Special bottle, holding it for some time. Fantastic showing!

April 23, 2017 - I opened this because of comments made here. I decanted it at noon and first tasted at 4 and it was still tight. By 6pm it was opening up and giving that raisin nose and was turning into at least an Amarone, but still not what I'm used to. I would disagree that this is past it's prime. It really needs a long decant. It was nice and smooth, just not quite as pruny and heavy as usual. Thoroughly enjoyable.

June 2, 2014 - Dark red in glass, with hints of violet. Subtle loam and raisin on nose. Very well balanced with nicely integrated tannins. Cassis, dried fruit and hints of floral on mid palate. A bit thin on the after, but still a fine wine. Drink now, but may last further if properly cellared.
