July 3, 2011 - Lovely pinot in a lighter style. Intense nose of cherry/strawberry, strawberry dominates on the palate, great acidity, very fine tannins. Not quite to the standard of the '01, but clear family resemblance, and excellent nonetheless.

March 5, 2009 - Had it with a sirloin steak. Reddosh colour - a bit darker for a pinot. Light red fruit on the nose with a bit of medicinal edge. There is also a bit of oak there.
On first taste, a bit of alcohol (not heat .. it says 13.9% on the label) which made the wine a bit disjointed. With some airtime, the alcohol disappeared and the wine smoothed out. The red fruit came to the for with still a tinge of menthol / medicinal. Not an overly long finish, there is still a bit of tartness on the finish. I picked this up at auction for < $12 which I think make this a nice QPR. Overall a pretty nice wine - a bit of airtime (30 mins) helps. -
