Community Tasting Notes 12

April 9, 2022 - The best bottle by far. Citrus honeysuckle and straw nose. Delicate notes of lemon grass and star fruit with lemons and limes, some persimmon and even mango. Delightful.

January 1, 2022 - NOTE: my comments are for the Red. After opening no nose, tasted flat, after 90 min had a decent nose for 15-20 min, tasted better. more round but still not very long Enjoyable but I waited too long to drink it

April 28, 2020 - Mostly stewed fruit. This was drinking much older than the last bottle. Drink up.

November 6, 2017 - A puzzling wine. On opening: very pronounced light to medium golden color indicating age; nose of baked apple and white flowers. Palate had a firmness of acid that seemed to somehow overshadow the attractive flavors and nuances, making the wine seem somewhat "hot" with alcohol. After emptying the initial small pour and returning to the glass several minutes later, there was a really nice impression of toffee in the glass (again suggesting that age wasn't hurting the wine). The acidic impression backed off considerably the longer it was open (yes I know that chemists claim this doesn't happen as the ph won't change) and the wine grew more appealing over hours. It was even pretty good the following day indicating this isn't at death's door and requiring a cautionary "drink now!"
