May 5, 2011 - Christmas pud and nuts, lots of nuts.

March 7, 2011 - NobleRottersSydney - 'Bet you've never tasted this before' (Alio's, Surry Hills): [375ml, cork, 17.5%] {Geoffrey} Baked crème brulee aromas. This is shiraz? A toffeed, oxidative palate in a fortified style. Pungently sweet tea-like flavours mix with caramel on the palate. Warm and cuddly finish but overall a bit straightforward to be truly inspiring.

January 15, 2011 - 2nd bottle consumed in the past few months -this one was kept in the fridge and sipped over several weeks without deterioration -if anything it got better after some air. A unique wine the best description i can come up with is close to a cross between a Malmsey Madeira and a tawny port. quite rich & viscous -great with dessert or blue cheese.

January 3, 2009 - Drank with Runny and our wives at the end of a great meal at Chez Patrick, Sun Street in Hong Kong. Decanted for a couple of hours and then consumed over the following hour. This has been fortified in new French oak for 15 years before bottling. Sweet, young, very alcaholic. Pronounced hazelnuts and brazil nuts with some raisins in the background. Still lots of spirit....too much. Very heady. Way too young and, I suspect, will never be very sophisticated.

February 9, 2008 - This was just wonderfully delicious with amazing layers of caramel, toffee, nuts, raisins and hints of the original red fruit on the nose and palate along with a super long persistent finish. The bouquet in the nearly empty glass (I was smelling my glass while Mrs. Greenblanket was trying to lick the insides of her glass clean) was incredible with spice, red fruit, toffee, rum, burnt caramel, and maple and Alaskan birch syrup. Wow! I wish I knew something about tawny port.
