August 27, 2012 - Rough, acidic nose on opening. Decanted an hour. Bouquet of dark fruits, woods, mint. Dense dark purple color. Blackberries, mint, spices, mature fruits on the palate. Well balanced tannins. This is a big wine, but not jammy. Tannins managed to keep the fruit under control. Long finish but a bit hot. Really nice bottle of wine, after an hour decant. (Doris - very good. Thought this was Shiraz)

January 16, 2012 - Popped and poured and drank over two nights. First night there was quite a bit more red fruit to it. Not super lush at all but tasty nonetheless. Everything was a bit muted on the second night so I'd recommend consuming in one sitting if possible.
