August 17, 2022 - Pale yellow. Some scents of lemon and pineapple. Faint hint of caramel on the finish. Not flabby, but neither is it shrilly ascorbic acidic. Ok, but not a fan. Have three more bottles in storage. Oh well.

June 22, 2020 - Decent. Notes of white flowers, lemon, key lime, and mineral.

March 3, 2018 - Opened one to put in asparagus risotto. Again, classic Chablis character. Laser beams of slate, citrus, and shells. Really unctuous with a finish that just doesn't quit. I don't know where this stuff comes from but it really spot on and these guys are doing something very right.

January 26, 2018 - I’m on the oxidized camp although my wife did like it.

(VRIGNAUD Fourchaume Chablis) Chablis 1er Dear Friends, This one speaks for itself. If you are interested in white Burgundy and enjoy drinking premier cru level wine for (from a young upstart no less), Vrignaud has delivered another gem from a vintage that is more successful than 2009. Without browbeating you, this sinewy (but rich), ginger and stone-filled wine is perfect any night of the week – the tariff makes it a temptation for mid-week but the quality answers the call for a special occasion – one of the most difficult tightropes to walk. While I realize many of you enjoy sharing some of the eccentric choices we’ve discovered with your guests, there’s nothing like pulling a true 1er Burgundy at a guilt-free price.... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED at a joke of a price. ONE SHIPMENT ONLY directly from the winery cellar with perfect provenance 2008 Vrignaud Chablis Fourchaume 1er - (compare at $30-35+) FIRST COME FIRST SERVED at this price up to 60/person until we run out To order: niki@garagistewine.com This parcel is set to depart the cave – it will arrive in early November (please check OARS for local pick up after November 15th). It may ship during the Fall shipping season if the weather cooperates but I would advise drinking in 2011-2013. Out of state orders will be held for free under ideal storage conditions (56 degrees/70%humidity) until shipping is possible. Locals may pick up at their leisure. For current local pick up and arrival/ship information, please see your OARS link below (at the bottom of this offer) - don’t know how to access your OARS? Simply click the link and see your account.
