December 2, 2016 - This is quite remarkable for the age and appellation as it opens with a strong sense of earthiness, following into sweet ripe fruits with strawberry overtones. I had expected it would be long since gone, but it is bright and lively. However, the warmth of the impression does leave me wondering if there might be just a little Chateauneuf in there. That said, it is really very good and the overall character is unmistakeably Burgundian.
