June 22, 2014 - Nice nose upon opening; dark cherry, earth, mushroom. Not very complex yet still relatively aromatic. Light body with good acidity, prominent tannins. Not shut down and drinking well. After about 20 minutes, wine became bitter and less aromatic. After another 20, wine became more pleasing and approachable again. Would drink again, but prefer other vintages/producers from this appellation.

May 15, 2014 - The Hill of Corton - Terroir Tasting; 5/14/2014-5/15/2014 (Gordon's Wines - Waltham, MA): Nose: Nice earthy funk, Red/Black Fruit mix with Charcuterie and Cherry Preserves. Slight coconut note in there as well. Palate: Earth, Florals, blackberry and sweet savory herbs. Acid is fantastic and the tannins are big still on this wine.

Ready to drink. Among the best of the night for me.
