May 4, 2019 - Tannins are fully resolved, not much fruit left. While the wine was a bit sour, I don’t think it had turned. Spice notes at the end.

February 16, 2019 - Enjoyed this and fascinated by the joy of drinking it in 2017 when critics describe it as heading downhill in 1989 (RP). Larger formates always help with older wines, but still ruby colour and the nose closed on opening. Decanted and left for two hours befor serving. Good berry fruit evident and lovely mature Bordeaux nose. Quite a short finish. We were two and drank the magnum!

March 13, 2017 - A whiff mouldy, also some fruit, too old however.

April 6, 2014 - From a 5L bottle sexy, silky juice, with lots of spice and dark fruits. Large aged format bottles really bring out the shine on the wines.

June 29, 2011 - Decanted 2 hours and not giving much, still a trace of floral and fruit but not pleasant to drink anymore, definitely way past the peak, too bad.
