December 5, 2021 - This pours light garnet in the glass with medium bricking. The nose is transitional old school and complex showing dried orange peel, iron, pepper, old leather, herbs de Provence, dried currants, dried cherries and only a vague touch of the overripe raisin fruit you sometimes get in the southern rhone. The palate features medium minus tannin that has been nicely sanded down over time and medium plus, bright berry and orator peel tinged acid. The finish isn’t terribly long but replays dried cherries, leather and dried herbs. Lovely wine that is really a strong representation of quality aged CdP.

March 15, 2020 - Opened for my son’s 21st birthday. This has held up incredibly well! Dried cherries, smooth and delicious. Wish I had more than one bottle!

January 11, 2015 - Last bottle was held over years as this wine needs time - dark ruby color with long legs - very intense nose with rhubarb, cherries and leather - flavor with sweet berries and ripe tannins - very long finish

December 1, 2013 - from 3.0 l, double-decanted. med red w/umber rim; red plums, spice cake, pepper, underbrush; med/+ weight; red tangy fruits, earthy, black pepper, faintly bitter, straightforward & not especially distinctive, but traveled around a multi-generational table well-enough to sufficiently please the masses.

    hanukkah latkes & brisket

August 4, 2012 - Brawny, into tertiaries, pleasurable, simple. Think burgers, fall, and football. Perfect for that.
