February 23, 2013 - I agree also on the cherry cola notes. A bit hot, but a lighter bodied wine. I was looking for something that I could drink with hazelnut crusted halibut (I don't drink white except at gunpoint or in July), and so I like a lighter pinot. I thought it went well. I think it also could go a few more years in the bottle, so the 2013 end date on this is underestimating it.

February 21, 2013 - Nice sipping wine, equally comfortable with a Mustard-Chicken dish. Nice character.

February 20, 2013 - Hot, spicy, jammy, flabby and totally unbalanced. This was a drunk mardi gras stripper. No resemblance to what pinot noir is or ought to taste like. Not sure who gifted me the btl, but this is not a wine to seek out. I hope California pinot has evolved beyond this, but not sure!

June 18, 2012 - Very nice Pinot for $23. Lots of dark jam with easy finish.

April 23, 2012 - Agree on the cherry cola, assertive tannins. But I found this to be well balanced out of the bottle. Did not have with food. A trifle "hot," but perhaps it's devleoped since some of the previous commentaries. I don't know what other people are finding in the $25 range, but I thought this was a great wine for the price point.
