August 12, 2012 - Interesting to re-visit the same wine a couple of years later. This one had not changed much but since I poured it too hot the alcohol really showed (14%). Heady nose of kirsch which improved on chilling. Tart cherries acidity on the palate. Simple style but easy to drink and the acidity matched it well with cheese raviolis and fresh, uncooked tomato sauce.

October 4, 2011 - Decent. Dark fruit, medium finish.

August 28, 2010 - Intense nose of vanilla, ripe cherry, raspberry with an almost grapey kool-aid sweetness. Different on the palate with the acidity very present but tempered by somewhat tart cherries and oak. The tannins are fine, bordering on green and the length medium short.

November 26, 2009 - Very pleasant, full fruit, raspberries, not greatly memorable, but a nice quaff.

November 10, 2009 - good Barbera, drinkable now, not too sweet, a bit of a finish.
