September 23, 2020 - Found this on the list at the American Hotel. Incredible aromatics and depth of flavors. Still young, but thoroughly enjoyable right now, with minimal decant. Wow!

October 27, 2019 - Appearance: clear deep garnet
Nose: clean, med+ intensity, leather, savoury, smoke, violet, blackberry, black plum, cassis, mint, medicinals, lavender, nutmeg, licorice, vanilla, toast, decayed leaves, stewed fruits, black tea, dark chocolate, fruit candy, sweet tobacco. It’s fully developed.
Palate: dry, high acidity, high but very smooth tannins, high alcohol, full body, pronounced flavour intensity, confirms the nose - blackberry, dark chocolate, meaty, toast, very long finish.
Overall, an outstanding wine. Suggest to drink now, not suitable for further ageing.

April 7, 2018 - Opened and bouquet was surprisingly vanilla, butterscotch, and taffy. First taste was totally different though. Very dry. Thought it was past prime. But no. After an hour it really opened up. Raspberries, tobacco, black currants. Limestone/gravel/minerality. In a perfect spot now. Great with dinner.

April 28, 2015 - No formal notes. Remember it to be ripe and settled. Great dept to the darker barrie notes. Great balance and still some acidity despite its progress.
