  April 9, 2021 - This has been sitting on a rack in my living room since 2010, no preferential treaatment of any kind. Decided to give it a whirl to see how it was. The cork was pretty soft, but came out in one piece, with about 1/8" saturation. Amazingly (to me), no bricking, or raisiny taste. Nice dark garnet, increasingly opaque with sediment as we made our way through the bottle. Some kind of funk on the nose, not overpowering, which diminished as we went along. Still lots of fruit, and not noticeably hot. Peppery, with moderate tannins. Can't wait to find out how the Syrah weathered this decade+.

  August 12, 2012 - A strong nose of alcohol on the first pour, which quickly blew off. Nose of blackberry, fig, strawberry preserves and a very faint peppery aroma. Palate of plum and dark cherry; great acidity. Super velvety mouth feel, great balance and still has the structure to go a few more years.....unfortunately this is my last bottle :/

  January 25, 2012 - Deep garnet color. Lots of ripe dark red fruit on the nose; strawberry jam, ripe cherry, plum, blackberry, hints of spice and leather. A very nice structure with firm tannins, balanced acidity and full-bodied mouth feel. More ripe red fruit on the palate, medium finish, overall a very round, pleasant wine
