February 13, 2011 - It's funny how people don't understand how some wines are made, or even seem to understand wine at all. See Mandevt's post for an explaination, I don't need to repost. For what the wine is, and should be expected to be, it's a nice experience. Very light, fruity, with a hint of effervescence that needs to be drunk young.

December 5, 2010 - Popped and poured with Thanksgiving dinner. Went very well with everything. This was a unique take on this grape: definitely not your typical merlot, but that's the point! Ripe red fruit on the nose, and a pleasant young merlot followthrough, and a clean, quick finish. It's exactly what you'd expect a "nouveau merlot" to be!

August 15, 2010 - This is a poorly made wine period. The producer shouldn't of even sold this as there is more to lose having this wine associated with a quality winemaker than pouring it down the drain.

August 10, 2010 - Not a typical Merlot. Great chilled when you want a red but it's hot outside!

January 21, 2010 - First thing you need to remember is that this is a very young wine done "Beaujolais style". The grapes went through carbonic maceration rather than the conventional crushing and yeast fermentation, so it's very "new" and fruity, with very little tannin. It's a great for those who like a simple merlot without the complexity of a wine that has been aged in oak barrels for many months. It pairs well with beef, and especially barbecued burgers. It may get better after aging in the bottle for a while longer, but I won't wait more than a year to drink it because I like it as it is now.
