January 4, 2014 - The nose is a little tight but it shows leather, mushroom, and some cherry. The palate: sour cherry, some black pepper, soil, petroleum, chocolate, and hint of licorice. Low/med acidity, low tannins, and short/medium finish. This is a simple but enjoyable wine.

Taste: A classic round merlot texture with sweet but real fruit. Nice backend spice and a beautifully long finish. Didn't have the over-ripe feeling with sufficient acidity and minerals to keep this wine rather elegant for a more entry to medium level wine. -

June 4, 2010 - Earthy, ripe plum and oak. Soft tannins. Not enough acidity to pair well with food, but a pleasurable sipper.
