March 29, 2024 - Deep tawny in color, showing age.
Nose is intense, dried meat, Provence herbs, prunes.
Tannins are fully tamed and soft.fresh, Full body, good intensity of flavours, coats the mouth with licorice, ginger bread and herbs. Long aftertaste with some bitter coffee beans and licorice.
Not an easy wine to like but grows on you with its development.

April 21, 2020 - Coravin first glass. Very mature almost jammy which isn’t my favourite. No tannins left at all and fruit is dried plums and overripe.

February 25, 2019 - Opened 3 hours before. Beautiful mature red color with no brown showing. Very mature nose with prunes and medicin cabinet dominating. Its tannins are almost gone and with only little acidity present I fear for my opinion. But with food it lives again. Good mature wine with prunes, leather, earth, metal and wood. Warm and with little "bite" I found it good to drink it at 17-18 Celsius.

February 11, 2017 - A revelation. The last of 6, by far the best. The tannins have at last died down, leaving a full-bodied but soft and enveloping blend of jammified garrigue strawberries with herbs, nutmeg and cassis. Incredible persistence, perfect poise and balance. I've tasted several of the more trendy Bandols from 98, but this is much better. Just wish I had more. Best bottle of the year which puts to shame any Bordeaux 98 tasted.
