October 9, 2017 - Seemingly liked this a bit more than the last bottle so many years ago, definitely at or slightly past it's peak, but certainly not at the end of it's life, really tasty with our 'Canadian' Thanksgiving Turkey - Dark red, with slight browning at the rim, full-medium bodied with notes of cranberry, cherry, cinnamon spice, cola, plum and vanilla, quite complex, sour, smooth on the palate with a touch of heat, with excellent length, likely not getting any better than this so probably best to drink up!! (91 Points).

May 21, 2016 - wow, absolutely delicious. great cherry flavor.

April 5, 2013 - Drinks more Oregonian than Californian. Alcohol detrimental to the open. Dark cherry, some cardamom and white oak. When some of the alcohol finally dissipates, it really starts to shine, but it does take significant time. 89 at PnP; 90 by hour 4.

March 31, 2013 - Very unusual that the white wine you're having with your Easter dinner over powers the red but this was the case when we had this alongside the 2009 Pahlmeyer Chardonna and this was probably a bit more to my liking with the classic turkey dinner - Dark red, medium-full bodied with a nose of cherry pie, spice, cola, plum and vanilla, nicely structured and balanced, sour, but velvety smooth on the palate with a very long finish, tasty! (90 Points).
