December 30, 2010 - This bottle was much better than the previous one, which was from the same auction lot. Initially very reluctant with some fungal/rot scents, the nose didn't open much with time, but the mouldy sewage twist vanished. Alcohol dominated the palate orginally, but the wine found its balance 1h after opening, and gave a very nice drinking experience with some lively fruit aromas, nice secondary characters and smooth abundant tannins. Finish on the short side, can probably age more if well kept.
