Community Tasting Notes 14

  • Eudemis Likes this wine:

September 15, 2021 - 13.5% alcohol. The cork breaks up 3/4 of the way upon extraction, and the last bit cannot be extracted, so it needs to be pushed down; turns out to be powdery inside. No impact on the wine mercifully. Decanted a good hour ahead. Dark colour with no sign of ageing.
The nose is classy with a harmonious mixture of dark berries and oak. The mouth is equally delightful, with superb roundedness and excellent balancing acidity in the finish. A classy St Emilion which might even appeal to Médoc lovers (like myself).

    March 14, 2021 - Solid Bordeaux. Needs a decant.

June 2, 2020 - Softer than the last one, it has everything but bad. But passed the peak. Drink fast

May 12, 2020 - Powerful with strong alochol and tannin at open. much softer and fruits after 2 hours. It became softer with a good mix of blueberry, strawberry and homt of oak and vanilla. glass like finishing with plum at the back. Not bad but lack of complexity.

October 12, 2019 - We drank this over 2 days. The cork burst in 1000 pieces, so we needed a caraffe. After 2 hours the wine opened up , but remained not very expressive. Good fruit (blackcurrant), but relatively mono dimensional. Limited nose. On the dry side. This will keep on this level for a long time, but I have my doubts, if it will improve from here.
