  July 22, 2018 - Tiring but not totally faded old zin. This had some VA on opening which mostly blew off, and indeed this wine was drinking better on day 2 than upon opening. But that doesn’t mean it should be held any longer. Once it settled down, it showed predominately sweet cherry notes with some vanilla and balsamic undertones. On the palate still decent cherry fruit, but also some lingering volatility and a sense of tiredness and slow decline. Unfortunately at this point the alcohol is also more prominent. Best drunk with cheese or pizza perhaps — not alone, and not with complex food. (From a bottle purchased at winery and professionally stored)

  April 19, 2011 - Kind of tired. Light red color, a little murky. Some red fruit but t was no longer bright nor precise. ome oak, not a lot of pepper. Just a bit uninteresting.
