March 5, 2024 - The 92 Allen was delicate and feminine with good fruit purity and transparency. It was finessed. Very Vosne like. Again, no one thought its not a Burgundy. 92-93

December 25, 2021 - Wine was properly stored from purchase upon release until consumed.
Amazing this wine is 29 years old. Still has a great bouquet of RRV cherries, plums, berries and a perfect balance of Francois Freres oak to blend it all together.

November 17, 2019 - Bottle and fill excellent, cork soaked but intact with no seepage. This needs at least an hour in the decanter (probably 2) to be at best. It is a lovely wine with cherry, strawberry and spice. Nice weight and structure. Drink up - an elegant RRV pinot

September 11, 2019 - Energetic and fruit forward, featuring cooked strawberry and dark cherry. There's a little spice in there, and the nose offers something aged, but not the palate, which remains youthful, though no longer taut. It was really good.

  • Blake Brown Likes this wine: 94 points

January 20, 2017 - 1992 WILLIAMS SELYEM ALLEN VINEYARD PINOT NOIR- amazingly youthful from its dark red purple color on, this bottle was lively, energetic and beautifully balanced; it had delicious spicy red and black fruit notes with black raspberry being most prominent; round and seamless, fantastic mouthfeel and length contributed to the greatness of this wine
