September 12, 2009 - Wet flint, pencil shavings, lemon zest, and a hint of apricot. This Chardonnay is almost excellent, but feels unbalanced; it overwhelms with a bouquet of minerals but the fruit underperforms. Still a strong effort, and I look forward to seeing how the Alisos vineyard evolves in future vintages.
