April 26, 2014 - Popped and poured. Seems to be in a great place right now. On the nose there is forest floor, sour cherry, raspberry, subtle oak, and balsamic notes. The red fruit became more pronounced with time. Plenty of acidity left, along with beautifully integrated tannins. Good concentration of cherry/raspberry, summer strawberry, and baking spice on the palate. The finish lasts over 10 seconds and has an elegant taper. Wonderfully delicious.

February 20, 2014 - light ruby, earthy nose of brambles. Dry and incredibly clean, tart red berry, on the Pnp a bit thin and austere, light fruit and lightly tart tannins. Expect an improvement with some over night open time, getting better in the glass. I think Bob would like this, I do. Over night, some bright red berry that I love, restrained fruit with a lovely acid balance, red currant and raspberry, smooth through the finish with very light chewy tannins.

October 1, 2012 - I was surprised by this for a couple of reasons. First, I expected it to be a bit more aromatic and red fruited. It was surprisingly intense and somewhat dark. The nose was nice but a little more restrained than I had expected. I picked up a little ethyl acetate that was a little distracting too. Still, this was considerably more serious and substantial than most 2007s. This is not a shitty vintage and one of the more intense wines from that vintage. Pretty damn good but not great.

July 1, 2012 - Lovely bottle of pinot noir. Popped, poured and enjoyed over a couple of hours this showed red fruits initially with plummy notes following. Good balance. Acids and tannins were really well integrated. Drinking well. My discrete CT scale: 95-extraordinary; 90-very good; 85-good; 80-fair; 75-poor

May 5, 2012 - Popped and poured and evolved substantially over 30 minutes in the glass. Nice earthy funk on the nose, though a little more subtle than on the 2008. Bright cherry notes on the front of the palate that give way to more subtle notes of blueberry and plum. Medium finish. On the whole, nicely traditional style, well balanced.
