  July 10, 2012 - Was not as impressed as I was 16 months ago on day 1...seemed too restrained. Day 2 was much better. The wine really filled out but remained balanced.

  July 30, 2011 - Dark garnet color. The nose is pure with blackberry, plums, and a touch of spice. The palate is beautifully balanced with blackberry, peach skin, dark cherry, and spice. There is exceptional balance to accompany the plush mouthfeel. The finish is spicy with dark fruit and moderate length. Overall, it is evident that this wine is made by a winemaker who values balance over size. Very enjoyable.

  May 16, 2011 - If I drank this blind I probably would have guessed syrah or pinot before zinfandel. Restrained flavor profile. Beautiful fruit.
