January 27, 2024 - This is a pleasant, light-bodied, fresh and balanced Champagne. While somewhat lean and lacking intensity, this wine is nuanced and charming in its own way. The wine is providing lively acidity and nice notes of apple, citrus, minerals and hay.

    January 31, 2020 - A blend of Chardonnay (90%) and Pinot Noir (10%). 12% alcohol.

Pale yellow-green color. Dry, yeasty and somewhat toasty nose with aromas of French bread, some chopped nuts, a little bit of mealy golden apple, light chalky mineral tones and a hint of lemony citrus fruit. The wine is dry, crisp and racy on the palate with intense flavors of tangy green apples, some autolytic brioche, a little bit of peachy fruit, light chalky mineral tones, a hint of salinity and a touch of French bread. The overall feel is savory and not particularly fruity, nor too tightly-knit. The bracing acidity keeps the wine intense and structured, but doesn't make it too lean or austere. The mousse feels fine, creamy and persistent. The mouth-cleansing finish is dry, long and precise with flavors of tangy salinity, tart green apples, some leesy yeast, a little bit of autolytic brioche, light chalky mineral tones, a hint of apple peel bitterness and a nutty touch of chopped almonds.

A brisk, racy and refreshing Champagne that doesn't feel flavor-wise primary in any way, but overall comes across still very youthful and slightly on the lean side. There are some understated nuances of toasty complexity, but the overall feel is more dominated by more mineral nuances. Good now for people who prefer their Champagnes crisp and mineral, but seems to call for more aging, if you prefer a toastier, nuanced and less bracing expression of Chardonnay-driven Champagne. Seems to show great potential for future development. Expect the points to go up with age.
