Community Tasting Notes 10

October 9, 2018 - I think I kept this bottle too long. It was still a nice bottle to drink, but had an extra tart note on the finish that was off. And once it was gone, the finish was nice. No rating this time.

June 28, 2014 - When you first open this bottle and take your first wonderful sniff you are hit immediately with yeast, upon further inspection you find apple and mandarin orange on the nose. In your mouth: lemon and green apple, with a gentle creamy mouth feel and a nice long finish. Wonderful wine.

November 8, 2012 - The perfect domestic sparkler with which to toast President Obama's victory last Tuesday night and the patriotic mood it engendered. It could use a bit more minerality, maybe a little easy, round and creamy in the middle without getting blurry. Has some snap on the close, carrying a nice mix of fruit flavors, with sneaky length. (No formal notes; 92+).

April 17, 2012 - Ice cold while watching the Blackhawks. Bright crisp light buttery nose. Tight prolific bubbles that tickle all the senses. Creamy attractive citrus at the onset shifts to succulent yeastiness that tails of to a dry crisp apple. Delightfully brisk and effervescent. Vibrant and clean. This was an absolute joy! And I am not just saying that because I still have 5 bottles left of it.

February 16, 2012 - With lively, small bubbles that stayed to the end of the bottle, this sparkler presented a light bouquet of citrus and yeast that carried over to the palate. Nice structure, good mouth feel and a lingering, clean finish makes this a great pairing with food or as a solo act. Enjoy!
