September 10, 2010 - Nice ripe fruit with plum, dark chocolate, spice and white pepper on the nose. The palate has a thick and creamy melted chocolate texture with nice fine tannins and some great complexity to go with the dark fruits. Well balanced and structured and one that should age well.

September 3, 2010 - Dark garnet red with glossy hues, expressive nose of blue berry, plum and spice. Medium+ bodied and creamy mouth feel, quite a fruits driven wine with dark ripe fruits, plums, peppery spice and hints of vanilla oak. It has ripe tannins with savoury finish.
Overall a well-made McLaren Shiraz by Ben Glaetzer and over delivered at its RRP of AU$22.
