Community Tasting Notes 9

June 11, 2011 - The wine is deffinitely on decline, but still shows good notes. The nose is a bit compact, with black fruits, plum, dark cherry and licorice. On mouth it feels medium bodied, a bit tannic still, with a very pronounced oaky taste, medium finish with a black tea aftertaste.Needs about 30 minutes to breathe.

November 9, 2010 - light and simple and reminded me of a watered down supermarket wine, but a couple of glasses were passable. By the third I was done with this.

July 17, 2010 - The cellar tracker notes said this was past the drinking window, but I found it to be perfect. The wine had settled down and was luscious, but not overpowering. There were some herby notes on the nose, along with a beautiful currant aroma. Plush mouthfeel, decent finish, it lingered on the tongue. i will have to get some more of this.

January 1, 2009 - This is starting to find it's way. I would decant it for an hour or so as it definetly improved in the glass.

July 22, 2007 - Has nice fruit that could still evolve. This is a very consistent bargain wine that should be able to age a bit.
