May 28, 2016 - Bought at the winery 2 weeks earlier, so it had been stored well. It was amazing. The nose was floral and fruit. Mellow and smooth tannins. If you own this, I'd drink it pretty soon. Hard to imagine how it's going to get better.

February 10, 2010 - Drinking beautifully right now. It was delicious, if a bit acidic. Great fruity flavors of black stone fruit like cherry and plum with definite strawberry on the nose. We let this decant for over 2 hours before drinking and wish we had more.

December 19, 2008 - Very pleasent wine. Dark, dark color. Nose started muted and opened up over two hours of cooking and eating. Smells of spice box at the end of the bottle.

November 1, 2008 - No detailed notes but this was outstanding. Needs more time to be certain. Still apparent oak. Drank at The Palm and decanted a very short time. Nose was muted and unexpressive compared with a younger Paul Hobbs. The pallet is generous and complex however. Mouth-coating dark fruits and dry tannins. Pina is awesome juice. I wont forget when I got this for $50 the first month they opened their cellar doors!

January 20, 2008 - Classic Howell mountain wine with some earthy fruit. Great flavor and nose. Very nice wine. Will age nicely for the next couple of years.
