March 12, 2012 - After an hour of being opened, this wine was quite good. Deep, ruby coloring, nose of blackberry, vanilla with hints of cassis. Dark cherries, blackberry, some spice, with slight hints of tobacco and coffee across the palate. Nice finish. Tannins were present but in check, pretty well balanced throughout. Nicely structured wine that I would think will improve over the next 5-7 years.
