November 11, 2019 - My last one, and similar impression to the last bottle 3 years ago, although definitely seeming a little tired at this point, and I'd say drink up if you have any more of these.
Medium (+) ruby color, veering towards garnet at the edges. Aromas of earthy funk, smoke, flowers and dirty flower water, and dried meat. Light to medium body, medium (+) acid, medium finish, and flavors of plum, black cherry, lemon, black tea, and minerals. These were a great QPR at <$10. 87-88 tonight. -

November 25, 2018 - Wonderful. 3.5 hours decanted. Nose of fresh flowers and cherry blossoms. Silky texture with a long finish of tart cherries and some cedary notes. Really REALLY wonderful stuff. Paired with a veal, shiitake and artichoke stew.

September 27, 2018 - Nice!! Beautiful clarity and color. Nose of kirche with hints of mocha and damp earth. Lovely body and a wonderful palette of sweet cherries, mocha and plums. Nice looooong finish as well. Still a lot legs to this too!

October 18, 2016 - Wow, 5 yrs. since I had one of these. Well, it's drinking great right now, especially for an 8 year old, $9 Ventoux. Very Burgundian, actually, which I suppose could be taken differently depending upon your preferences, but I like it, especially for an afternoon sipper and pairing for my leftover squash risotto. Ruby to garnet in color with transparency. Aromas of funk, a bit of floral—really the two melding into a dirty flower water in a way, which maybe sounds bad, but I don't find it that way at all—along with some freshly dug up root vegetables, and a touch of herbs. Nicely intriguing nose. Light to medium body, medium acid and finish, and flavors of red fruits, black tea, cinnamon, leather, lemon, and orange peel. In a great spot; drink up, though I suspect it's got another year or two, despite the CT window of drink by 3 years ago. 90+

September 8, 2016 - Nose with notes of mocha and dried red fruits. solid backbone of developed tannins. Great mouth feel and was fantastic with a grilled steak. This was a surprisingly good wine that I am glad I still have a few bottles in the cellar enjoyed with steak and tomato salad. Outstanding QPR.
