Community Tasting Notes 8

June 19, 2013 - Pronounced acidity and very austere on day one, even with 1-2 hrs in the glass. Day 2 it mellowed and opened up some to show sour red cherries, raspberries, vanilla, white pepper, and some green elements. Whole clusters? Strong acidity and drying tannins on the medium finish. Very food friendly. Recapped and put bak in the cellar. Day 4 it balanced out substantially and was the most enjoyable. Decent food Pinot for the $20 point based on the showing after day 1.

May 16, 2012 - Very good quality for the price. Relatively simple but classic Willamette Valley. Light body with great aroma and flavor of red cherries, raspberries and a hint of spice with nice acidity and a medium length finish.

October 11, 2010 - Good value Oregon pinot. Nothing complicated, but good fruit taste. Very food friendly.

August 17, 2010 - Nice, easy to drink wine. Well-priced. Lots of notes of strawberry, vanilla and cherry, but still light on the palate. Not much acidity or tannin, and a little bit of spice, but maybe not enough. It feels a little out of balance though, so maybe it needs a bit more time, but it still pretty drinkable compared to other 2008s.

July 12, 2010 - Needs more time. Tight and sour after a half-hour decant but opened a bit with time in the glass. Light to medium bodied. Sour cherry dominates the palate with some peppery spice on the midpalate. A little disjointed, and very acidic. Has decent stuffing but it hasn't quite come together yet.
