January 28, 2022 - May be past it's prime? Cork broke coming out? A nice deep purple color. Nose has a "rubber" smell, like the sole of a new tennis shoe. Lots of cedar almost overpowering any dark fruit on the palate. The finish is very subdued.

September 1, 2017 - this is past its prime it is a lighter purple in color, nose of a little fruit, maybe blackberry, some leather, this was a good value a few years ago

March 22, 2016 - At eight years of age the wine has gone tertiary, shedding fruit for leather, mild pepperiness and a long smoky-anise-mocha finish; the fruit that does exist comes across as dried blackberry, but very little of that is even present. If lack of fruit is not an issue than the Senetiner Nicanor should be at the top of your list.

May 9, 2013 - Deep, intense sanguine red. A bit of alcohol on the nose, oak, tar and a touch of black raspberry. I would guess this was a cru bourgeois Bordeaux except the acidity level is a little on the high side. Dark fruits, tar, charcoal, moderately high tannic grip. It's not afraid to be a little austere, which is respectable, but would have been more respectable with a little less oak. Tastes about 50 percent more expensive than it was (under 12 bucks). Good value.

November 10, 2012 - Good deep, dark coloring. Nose was initially tight with a little bit of greenness showing (celery and green pepper) and subtle dark fruit, but air seemed to open it up to jammy prune, plum and black fruit, along with a bit of graphite, a touch of lavender, and oak. Decent nose with air. Medium bodied on the palate, with good acidity, medium finish, and notes of dark fruit, oak, and lingering minerality. Chalky tannins. Hollow mid-palate and a little over-oaked for my taste, however.
