October 28, 2023 - Balsamic and sweet red fruit. Air freshened it up a bit. Just what you would want in a mature Barolo.

October 21, 2023 - Oh, the nose here is gorgeous. Red fruit and tar and balsamico.

For a wine this young, surprisingly expansive on the palate. While still young, if you have more than one in the cellar, I wouldn’t hesitate to check out a bottle.

April 22, 2023 - Beautiful garnet red, delicate nose with rose petals. Mature notes but still plenty of fruit, energy and intensity. Fine tannins grips the chin and tongue. Very elegant and with a long aftertaste. I think it is at it’s peak now. No need to wait any longer

January 9, 2021 - This was such a pretty wine that spoke with a voice that was without question of Piedmont and the beauty that means. The perfumed nose burst from the glass with black cherries, violets, star anise, and roasted game. The palate with incredibly detailed and fine. Red plums and cherries filled the senses. The tannins were perfectly integrated and there was an internal sweetness of fruit that made this absolutely delicious. I know that this would be good, but I totally underestimated just how good and ready to drink that it was. Wow!

October 16, 2020 - Garnet red, showing some maturity

Nose of red berries and roses, with tar/licorice , very typical Barolo

Meduim bodied with a very good fruit which approaches quite early on the palate and lasts all way back. Smooth tannins and red fruit in the finish.

A really good 2006 Barolo, unfortunately my last bottle
